Problem: When a Naval Base in San Diego, CA was remodelling their restrooms the contractor found a crack in the 4” cast iron pipe.
Solution: Flow Infrastructure was contracted to use cured-in-place pipe liner (CIPP) lining in order to avoid unnecessary jackhammering and of the floor in the bathroom, office spaces and a conference room. The crews first inspected then cleaned the build-up from inside the existing pipe. Once clean, the CIPP liner by Internal Pipe Technologies was inserted into the pipe from the toilet flanges and clean-outs. Result: The liner now acts as a new pipe within the existing cracked cast iron pipe. The job was completed without demolition to the Naval Base, which allowed the contractor to finish the restroom remodel. Pipe Lining is one highly effective sewer repair method that saves you from all your pipe troubles. Not just in terms of fixing your piping system and getting to the root of any piping, drain, and sewer problem, but from disruption of operations at work. Learn more about the CIPP Lining Method.
